‘Fringe’ recap: the 60% solution

“The Transformation” is easily one of my favorite episodes from the first season of “Fringe,” with possibly my favorite opening sequence. I knew from the preview last week that “Nothing as It Seems” was going to delve back to “The Transformation” for inspiration, but I found myself getting practically giddy when the new episode started with the exact same scene. A man in a plane, going into a panic, demanding the flight attendants’ attention and telling them to gather all the sedatives they can find and if necessary, confining him to the bathroom. Only this time, instead of bursting out of the lavatory as a Wereporcupine and crashing the plane, the man managed to pull himself together and ride out the flight.

Bar Patios Opening Early With Warm Spring

MINNEAPOLIS — This weekend we have yet another chance to get out and enjoy Minnesota.  Spring fever just won’t stop.

Temperatures are expected to hit 72 and 79, respectively, on Saturday and Sunday. The warm weather means we’re able to enjoy activities we’d usually have to wait weeks for.

“I think people want us to be open,” said Chris Weglinski, who co-owns Sea Salt next to Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis. “Our staff wants to work. I want to get back to work.  The weather’s nice.”

Sick Teen Cancels Taylor Swift Date

(NewsCore) – A New Jersey teen undergoing treatment for leukemia is unable to attend the Academy of Country Music Awards as Taylor Swift’s date, the country-pop star confirmed Saturday.

“Just talked to Kevin Maguire [sic]. He’s not well enough to join me at the ACMs,” Swift tweeted. “Please keep him in your thoughts.
